About
The Association
The bylaws below govern how the Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association runs — who can join, how it's led, and what keeps it going year after year.
Name
This organization shall be known as the Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association.
Officers
The officers of the Association shall be a President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer, and Co-Historians. These seven elected officers, together with the immediate Past President and the Class Agents, form the Executive Committee.
Duties of Officers
The President presides at all meetings. The Vice-President assumes all duties of the President in that officer’s absence. The Recording Secretary keeps proper records of all meetings. The Corresponding Secretary handles Alumni correspondence and reunion reservations. The Treasurer manages collection of dues and scholarship donations. The Co-Historians compile a list of Alumni who have passed away.
Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting and Reunion shall be held each year. The time and place shall be determined by the Executive Committee.
Dues
The annual dues of the Association shall be five dollars ($5.00), payable annually in advance on or before the Annual Meeting.
Membership
Any person who has attended school in Old Orchard Beach, or who has been or is a teacher, staff member, or administrator in the Old Orchard Beach school system, shall be eligible for membership.
Amendments
Amendments to these Bylaws may be brought up at an Executive Committee meeting, voted upon, and then reconfirmed by the same committee no later than thirty (30) days from the first vote.
Repeal
All former Bylaws are hereby repealed.
