Scholarships
Every year, dues and sponsorships fund a handful of scholarships for graduating seniors — here's who's eligible for each one.
Old Orchard Beach High School Alumni Scholarship
The Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association Scholarships are awarded to deserving seniors whose parent(s) attended school in Old Orchard Beach or are presently, or have been, a staff member in the Old Orchard Beach School System. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of 2.0 for the first semester of college to be awarded the scholarship.
E. Emerson Cummings Memorial Scholarship Fund
E. Emerson Cummings was a talented, respected teacher at Old Orchard Beach High School from 1956 to 1981. He taught analytical geometry, introduction to nuclear physics, and advanced calculus. This scholarship is given in connection with the Alumni Scholarship. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of 2.0 for the first semester of college to be awarded the scholarship.
George Lariviere Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is given in connection with the OOB Alumni Scholarships. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of 2.0 for the first semester of college to be awarded the scholarship.
Robert H. Phillips, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is given to a senior graduating in good standing from Old Orchard Beach High School who will be furthering his or her education in the field of music or fine art. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of 2.0 for the first semester of college to be awarded the scholarship.
